One night Wu Gang was lying in bed. Then suddenly a loud cry for help woke him up. He looked out of the window and found his neighbour's house was on fire. Wu Gang hurried to telephone 119 for help. Then he ran out at once. He saw many people trying to put out the fire with water, and he quickly joined in. After some time, the firefighters arrived, the big fire was out at last. Luckily, no house was destroyed by the fire and all the people were safe.

In order to make our city cleaner and more beautiful, the young volunteers of our school went to the people's park this morning and offered our help.

At eight, the head of the park met us at the gate. After being divided into groups, we set out to work at once. Some tidied up the parking area and parked the bike in right place. Some took care of the flowers and bushes, and persuaded people to keep off the grass. Around the tiger den, one group kept order to prevent accidents from happening. at the aquarium, another group worked as guides and advised visitors not to smoke. When some of us were doing cleaning, an old man praised us and said, "well done, young fellows!"

We were all tired but happy. What a beautiful morning today！

Anna is girl. She is eleven years old. On Saturday her friend Kerry gives her a call.

“Anna, what do you have to do today,” asks Kerry.

“I don’t have to do anything. But I want to watch TV and play the computer games all day.” says Anna.

“Let’s bake a cake!” says Kerry.

“Sure. But you can’t go to my home and bake a cake.” says Anna.

“Ok, but you have to do anything.” says Anna’ mother.

“First, you have to feed Mary (The cat in Anna’ home) .Next you have to tidy your room. Finally, you have to do homework .”says Anna’s mother.

“En…ok, I can go to Kerry’s home after lunch. I would tell her .” says Anna.

“Kerry, I can’t go to your home now. But I can go to your home after

lunch.” says Anna.

“Sorry! My home don’t have flour. We can’t bake a cake together.” says Kerry.

“Oh…Ok. Bye.”“Bye.” Now, Anna is not happy.
